Why and How to Make Time for Friends!

Make Time for Friendschip

It seems that of the two species, females are the ones that need more social contact. It is not good for a woman to isolate herself because loneliness may set in and then this could very well lead to depression. It is very important for a woman to maintain her friendships while raising a family so that she can stay in contact with the outside world. It may be even more important to strengthen those friendships as the children grow older and leave the nest.

In order to survive, best friends need one-on-one contact. Calling friends on the telephone and getting together are essential for best friends to continue. At times it may seem very hard to maintain friendships when you have such a busy schedule. However, you do not need to take hours out of your busy day in order to maintain a friendship.

Here is a list of some suggestions that could be put into practice to maintain friendships:

1. Make it a habit to send frequent e-mails. This is great for getting a quick note off to your friend.
2. Call at least once a week. It does not take long to make a quick call to let your friend know that you are thinking about her. It is a great way to catch up on things that are relevant in both of your lives.
3. You can always keep in touch by simple and brief messages that are left on answering machines.
4. Send an occasional card. It can be humorous or a friendship card. It only takes a few minutes to choose an appropriate card and stick it in the mail.
5. Exercise together. All of us need to exercise. It is much more fun to do it with a friend. There is nothing better than to talk while taking a walk in the park.

Family Road Trip Tips!

Family Road Trip Advice by Kelly Church

There are many reasons to take a Road Trip. You might have specific destination in mind where it is more cost efficient to take a Road Trip than to fly or use other means of travel. Another reason to go on a trip is to inspect other parts of the country if you are going to move from your current residence. My favorite reason for a Road Trip is one of the best ways for a family to have great experiences and memories. This reason for a road trip is simply to be with family to encounter unique and wonderful sites and experiences. If your reason is the latter, there are a few helpful hints to help make the trip more seamless and a little bit easier, so it will be more enjoyable. Choosing destinations and packing the correct supplies, keeping accurate and organized records, and using the tools available to you will make your trip easier and more pleasant for your entire family.

One of the first things you have to tackle when it comes to taking a pleasure road trip is choosing your destination and packing correct supplies. Deciding what location you want to visit can be tricky. What is required is taking some time to research the sites that are available to tourists in America. Another requirement is to decide how long you wish to be gone and how far away from home you wish to travel. Considering all these factors is the key in choosing a destination for your trip, whether a short trip or a long trip.

Another priority to getting a road trip started off right is packing correct supplies. It may seem somewhat trivial, but planning a trip is much better when it is indeed planned correctly. Organization is a key to having the best time without worrying about mishaps that can happen when things aren’t planned. There are some things that happen that are beyond our control, whether we plan or not. We don’t need to add insult to injury by allowing things that we can control to ruin our plans. Besides the necessities of clothes, toiletries, other things are needed to be in as complete control of your trip as possible. If you are worried about cost, a great way to save money is instead of eating out the entire time you are on the road, try substituting sandwich fixings instead. Carrying a small cooler with food and drinks can help substantially lessen your costs. Another thing you can do to diminish your costs. It helps to plan where you are staying. If you can, costs would definitely lessen if there were alternative arrangements for lodging made. For example, if you have relatives near the destination you desire, that would be the best thing. If not, making reservations at the most cost effective hotels along the way can help reduce cost.

Six Steps to Survive the Empty Nest Syndrome

Having children is wonderful and frightening all at the same time. Suddenly, we are responsible for these helpless little human beings – our sons and daughters. Our mothering kicks in and we nurture, teach, care for, and protect our children the best we can. We enjoy all of the moments that mothers get to spend with their kids, and there are scary moments that we mothers have to deal with. First, our little babies are heading off to Kindergarten on a bus they are not familiar with going to school without our supervision. We have to put the trust into the teachers and the school system. As a mother it can be exciting and scary to send your baby off to school for the first time.
Empty Nest Syndrome
Each year they grow and learn as we sit in amazement at how this is happening right in front of our eyes! Then the time comes for them to leave home entirely to live on their own and go off to college. This experience is a lot different than sending your baby to Kindergarten. Your baby is now an adult and will be living in another place. Being home without your child there with you can be scary and worrisome. While you will still need to be a crucial part of your adult child’s life, you may start to feel depressed and lonely. This is normal, but you do have a life to live as well. You can use the following steps to help you prepare for an empty nest or deal with an empty nest.

6 Steps To Survive The Empty Nest Syndrome –

1. Stay Busy: If you seem to have a lot of spare time now you can go out and do something for yourself. You could volunteer, take some classes, start a new hobby, and anything else that can help fill the gaps in your spare time.

2. Go Away: Take a vacation, and it does not have to be an airplane ride away. Take your spouse (or go it alone) to a nice, relaxing place. This will be the beginning of another stage in your relationship, so start it off right with a romantic get away! If you aren’t in a relationship, take some buddies with you and have a great time.

Reclaim Your Self Esteem After a Divorce

Getting a divorce is a major life change, and it can leave many with low self-esteem. Self-esteem can be greatly shattered when going through a divorce, since normally a person’s life partner is who made them feel great about themselves in the first place. Even though divorce can seem like the end of the world to some, there are many effective ways to build your self-esteem back up and live a happy and health life. Women can follow these eight steps to rebuild their self-esteem after a divorce, so they can go back out into the world feeling as great as they did before the divorce.
GirlfriendsCafe
When going through a divorce, the first thing a woman should do is talk about it with a best friend or close family member. By talking with a friend, you can get everything off of your chest as well as get another opinion about the situation. Having a friend to talk to will make you feel loved, cherished, and important, since a divorce can make a woman feel completely opposite.

Having positive thoughts also will help to gain back self-esteem when going through a divorce, since you can guide yourself to think a certain way. Even when you may be feeling down in the dumps and at the lowest point ever in your life, you can think positive and make your life turn out positive. If you think you cannot deal with the divorce, you wont be able to. Thinking you can do it and that you will be okay will make it so you really can do it and you really will be okay. Once you focus your mind on happy and positive thoughts, you will start to believe them and actually be able to be happy and positive.

Forgetting about the past is a major key when trying to gain back your self-esteem. No matter what the reason for the divorce was, you need to learn from your past mistakes and move on with your life. Instead of dwelling on what you did wrong all the time, think about how you can fix yourself as a person and do better in the future. Even though finding another mate may be the last thing on your mind right now, you should think about how to better yourself rather than trying to figure out what you did wrong.

By being around other people, your self-esteem level can rise dramatically. Just by interacting at your local grocery store or coffee shop, you will find yourself able to talk with strangers without feel self-conscious. Friends and family members are also great to surround yourself with, since their positive attitudes can rub off on you and leave you feeling great. Surround yourself with people you love, because they will be able to show you what a great person you really are.
